All ceramic bearing rings and balls are made of ceramic materials. The hybrid ceramic bearing is composed of bearing steel rings and ceramic balls. Ceramic materials: silicon nitride (Si3N4), zirconia (ZrO2), silicon carbide carbide (SIC), composite ceramic bearings.

According to the structure: ceramic bearing can be divided into: zirconia ceramic bearing with retainer, silicon nitride ceramic bearing with retainer, composite ceramic bearing with retainer. Generally, the retainer material of ceramic bearing is PTFE as the standard configuration, glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 (grpa66-25), special engineering plastics (PEEK, PI), stainless steel (SUS316, SUS304), brass (Cu), etc. The ceramic cage is seldom used because of the problems of hole processing and forming technology. Due to the material limitation of the cage, the zirconia full ball ceramic bearing without cage, silicon nitride full ball ceramic bearing and composite full ball ceramic bearing are developed for special occasions.

According to the integrity of materials: the main components of ceramic bearings mentioned above, the inner and outer rings and rolling elements are mostly made of ceramic materials, so they are defined as ceramic bearings; if some parts of the inner and outer rings and rolling elements of bearings are not made of ceramic materials, we are defined as mixed ceramic bearings. Ceramic ball bearings are widely used in hybrid ceramic bearings, which are made of ceramic materials. They can be divided into zirconia ceramic ball bearings and silicon nitride ceramic ball bearings.

Ceramic bearing characteristics:

Accuracy class: abec-1, abec-3, abec-5, ABEC-7, abec-9.

Generally, ABEC5 grade starts, including ABEC7 and ABEC9, which are called high-precision bearings. In addition, some customers are also interested in ceramic ball grade. Generally, the ceramic ball grade is divided into G3, G5, G10 and G16. The smaller the value, the higher the precision.

Bearing size: we can provide small ceramic bearing with a minimum inner diameter of 2mm and large ceramic bearing with an inner diameter of 400mm. We can provide ceramic bearings in both English and metric sizes.

Sealing form: generally, all ceramic bearings are open type without sealing, but we can provide all ceramic bearings with PTFE sealing.

Advantages of ceramic bearings:

High speed bearing. Especially for hybrid ceramic bearings, the maximum speed can reach 450000 rpm, which is mainly used in the field of dental mobile phones and spindles.

High temperature ceramic bearing;. The maximum temperature to endure is 1200 ℃.

Corrosion resistance. The material itself has special corrosion resistance, which can be applied to strong acid, strong alkali, inorganic, organic salt, seawater and other fields of application: electroplating equipment, electronic equipment, chemical machinery, shipbuilding, medical equipment & hellip; & hellip

Nonmagnetic: ceramic bearing has no magnetism, and can reduce bearing wear and noise without absorbing dust. Application examples, such as degaussing equipment, precision instrument field.

Insulation: since high resistance can avoid arc damage to the bearing, the bearing can be used in necessary electronic equipment.

High vacuum: due to the self-lubricating and oil-free ceramic materials, ceramic bearings can be used in ultra-high vacuum environment.
